LIVE TO EAT!
I have always felt strongly believed that people who preach “Eat to live” and not otherwise are either blessed with sore taste buds /poor appetites or simply are calorie obsessed.
Food is such an integral part of our lives and I loooove it to no end.
From amma’s anna saaru to Germany’s Ferrero Garden to roadside golguppa to Domino’s Stuffed Crunch Pizza, I am madly in love with em all, and always game for any gastronomical delights
Nikhil,the glutton
tagged me with this very interesting food meme, and finally, I am writing it out today after all my internals ka tenshun !
So, here we go!
1. What’s your favorite table?
There is this small hotel called Janatha @ Malleswaram 8th Cross, I have a favorite spot while sitting in this extremely stuffy, usually overcrowded place. It is right near the inner entrance to the Family dining room (lol!) and devour their trademark “Uddin Vade”, also I love the coffee at CCD, right next to it, you must check out this place
2. What would you have for your last supper?
Considering the high that anything sweet gives me, I would begin with any of these chocolates ,then drink a big dollop of Hershey’s chocolate syrup, then devour 5 gulab jamoons prepared by Jamoon Aunty(Jalaja aunty,I love it when u send jamoons especially made for me ! ) and have one DBC, then have gasgase payasa that mum prepares, Eat some nice pies, drink strawberry smoothies, eat kheer next, then finally finish up with eating only cream, puuuuure cream with probably lychees ! I think this is a crazy line-up but anything sweet, I’m up for grabs !
3. What’s your poison?
Anything extra spicy, in fact my definition of “normal” spicy food is extremely debatable
Isn’t it obvious given my sweet tooth ?
And sometimes when amma puts kobri(coconut) in every single meal, It annoys me !
My friends sometimes tell me that I eat patient food (read Bland!) I disagree, I love pickles and they aren’t bland!
4. Name your three desert island ingredients.
Is this a meal I would like to make one on an island or what?!
If yes, it would have to be pasta with tons and tons of cheese

5. What would you put in Room 101?
Failed to grab the significance here. But I would put in a lovely bouquet of red roses ,a bottle of the finest champagne and of course, black forest pastry for dessert
6. Which book gets you cooking?
Not applicable
Ask my mom
She has no hopes of making me try n cook ! My husband, wherever you are, beware!
7. What’s your dream dinner party line up?
In fact, I think ‘my last day’ meal Question 2 answers this too
But I think the finest of desserts would be my ultimate dream line up, I don’t even want a first course, second course but I would be happy if salads were also on the menu !
8. What was your childhood teatime treat?
I remember my childhood breakfasts very well indeed rather than tea time treats-big bowl of cornflakes, or sometimes omlettes, toast, fruits, horlicks(a big glass!,phew)
Tea time used to be horlicks again with biscuits !
9. What was your most memorable meal?
Hmmm still thinking, will update soon
When I used to go swimming, mom got me a cornetto every single day during the whole month of my course; this was in class 6 @k.c.reddy. This is one of my fondest memories..
This is silly, I think the first time I ate the MAC Veggie with extra white sauce(yup, tat’s what we called mayo ! ) and fries !I fell in love with junk food right there !
Then the first time I ate at Desmonds, Ebony I loved them both.
Also CTR’s dosas and a tiny bakery called Agarwal near my place, his ghee dosas and chaat are to die for! Its named aptly “my sasural” by my friends
10. What was your biggest food disaster?
Again not applicable! But I can make tolerable tea and great 2-min noodles!hey i once made that cooker cake ,it wasnt all that bad
11. What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?
It was at this Andhra Restaurant just a couple of months ago, the food was really spicy and getting to me, I drank more water than I ate anything! But it still doesn’t classify as the worst one.
The worst one would probably be Sikandar’s buffet, it disappointed me totally, the occasion, mood, all perfect but the food a disaster !
12. Your food hero/food villian?
Hero would be anybody who doesn’t comment on me saying “God, don’t u eat! “I’m tired of answering this wherever I go and when they watch me eating, they bug me with How do u manage to stay so slim! “ Bah!
Villian –would be a person who always screams “don’t eat this ,it is 9889 calories” wtf, it’s me who will gain em ,not you, ok ,so chill
13. Nigella or Delia?
Huh ?!
14. Vegetarians: genius or madness?
I totally respect it as a personal decision, but I prefer vegetarian food always and it will remain so, can’t stand the weird stink that comes with fish nor the sickly shape of chicken! aargh
15. Fast food or fresh food?
Game for both anytime
Salads are great! But so i
s mayo
16. Who would you most like to cook for?
For a pet pug which I hope to have some day ,I would cook her the most exotic vegetarian dish
ok,I know that’s weird but I love my pets ! yay
17. What would you cook to impress a date?
Top ramen noodles
18. Make a wish.
I wish I would develop a liking for spicy food soon!
19. I tag…
Sandeep, who like me,is almost size zero
yet looks gorgeous ,I am not kidding dear
Priya , what’s cooking princess ?
Radhesh , will get to know your tastebuds better
Vinni, I know in his post only beer and chicken will top the list, undoubtedly
Vishesh,tagged

My next stop after fresco’s Tiramasu would be CTR !!
My dad used to force me to drink Horlicks when I was a kid…I hate horlicks! It [used to] taste like some solution of antibiotic.
Like you, I too can do away with all the main courses and just survive with dessert and salad.
I love creamy corn soup!!
